Seema Sueko (Co-Founder & Artistic Director)
Seema is the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Mo`olelo. She directed Mo`olelo's 2006 award-winning production, Since Africa, and The Adoption Project: Triad. Some of her acting credits include Jennifer in The Intelligent Design of Jenny Chow at The Old Globe and Yale Repertory Theatre (KPBS Patt Award), Connie in A Chorus Line at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre, Mrs. Cratchit in A Christmas Carol at San Diego Repertory Theatre, and The Phoenician Women at NYC's The Ohio Theatre. She is a three-time winner of the Chicago "Jeff Citation" Award for her performances in the world premiere of Rebecca Gilman's The Crime of the Century (Best Actress in a Principal Role), The Waiting Room (Best Actress in a Supporting Role), and A Piece of my Heart (Best Ensemble). She received the KPBS Patt "McDonald Playwriting Award" and the Anti-Discrimination Committee's "Artistic and Cultural Achievement Award" for her script, and Mo`olelo's inaugural show, remains. She was commissioned by Mixed Blood Theatre in Minneapolis to co-write Messy Utopia, which received the Ivey Award 2007, and was recently commissioned by Mixed Blood again to write a play for young audiences on the theme of Islam in America. Seema holds an MA in International Relations from the University of Chicago, is a member of Actors' Equity Association, and was named one of the "50 People to Watch in 2005" by San Diego Magazine.

Kim Palma (Co-Founder)
Kim is from Honolulu, Hawaii and holds a bachelor's degree in theater from Wesleyan University. She toured with the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company as Lighting Supervisor from 1995 - 1998, and taught lighting design at the Orange County High School of the Arts from 2000 - 2004. Her designs include works for Keith Johnson/Dancers, Oni Dance, Southern California Dance Theater, Winifred Harris/Between Lines, and Theater Education Group. Additionally, she designed Angels in America, The Food Chain, and Inspecting Carol for AXIS Theatre in Baltimore, and Mo`olelo's inaugural production, "Remains". Kim is the resident Lighting Designer and Production Director for DanceBrazil, and Helios Dance Theater.
