Audition Notices

Mo`olelo Performing Arts Company posts audition notices on the websites of Actors Equity Association and the Actors Alliance of San Diego. We attend the Actors Alliance’s annual All-City Auditions, and hold local calls show by show.

Actors, stage managers, directors and designers are invited to submit their resumes or headshots to:

Play Submissions

Mo`olelo’s welcomes submissions of contemporary, full-length plays of all genres that explore political, social, and cultural issues of our time. Scripts must satisfy the following criteria:

offer significant roles for actors of color;
cast of six or less;
scripts must offer the opportunity for Mo`olelo to outreach to a community that is not considered a traditional theater-going audience. To understand how important this is to the core operations of Mo`olelo, please read this blog post.
be appropriate for ages 13 and up as each Mo`olelo production is linked to our Three Part Arts education program

Please include in your submission:

A cover letter with full contact information of playwright(s), a brief description of the play, and information on any workshops, readings or previous productions of the script if applicable.
